Mercedes A Class Fuel Cap Won't Open. I found mention of this issue on a uk mb site. I’ve tried locking and unlocking the car again but the lid still won’t open. Never had a problem but today it won't open. my fuel cap wouldn't open the first time that i went to put diesel into it after i bought it. There is no remote release to open. does anyone know how to make the fuel cover open when it's stuck? i had this problem last year. i haven't been driving the car much. the fuel filler flap cannot be opened, the fuel filler flap is not unlocked or the key battery is discharged. I pressed the mercedes me button in the car and the breakdown guy replaced the fuel cap. Warranty ran out last month and took me 2 hours today to open the fuel cap.
